Reassess the filing account against the actual effective structure. Do not describe a condition that remains pending as already satisfied to preserve an internal deadline.
Coordinate the legal event and the immigration step
Identify which relationship the filing relies on and what evidence establishes it at the applicable time. Preserve notices of delay and revised closing terms. The employer’s preferred transfer date does not itself resolve qualification or authorize work. Obtain appropriate review of material changes instead of assuming the same documents support every possible closing sequence.
The first review should place completed events and future contingencies on separate dates. Hypothetical example: a greenhouse-controls manager awaiting a delayed closing must decide which document or sequence actually resolves the issue before relying on a desired outcome. A complete record should show the fact, its source, and what remains prospective. L-1A requires a qualifying relationship, one continuous qualifying year abroad in the preceding three years, and genuinely managerial or executive duties. Review the evidence in that order, then decide whether to proceed, obtain a missing record, or change the plan. A generic letter, private payment, future chart, or travel reservation fails when it is used to prove a condition it does not establish.
The review outcome should identify the next document or action and state why an unsupported shortcut would fail. Keep the final presentation tied to the facts actually established, not to a hoped-for conclusion.
Record that decision in writing before relying on it.
