Ask for an itemised estimate rather than one “visa price.” USAvisa’s initial consultation is free. Further consulting support, legal representation, government charges and third-party work are separate potential costs. The applicable process and scope of work determine which items belong in your estimate.
Start with the proposed engagement
For a job offer, clarify what help is needed with the role and supporting evidence. For a company transfer, ask whether reviewing the corporate relationship, employment records and proposed U.S. operation is included. An estimate should describe the work, not simply name a visa category.
Agree who pays for each item
Discuss which charges the employer will handle and which, if any, you are expected to pay. Translations, credential evaluations and travel may require separate arrangements. Before payment, obtain written terms covering scope, instalments, cancellation and any additional work.
Check government charges at the point of filing
Use the current official fee instructions for the actual application or admission process. Do not use an old total from another applicant as your budget: their route, filing choices and family circumstances may differ. Paying a fee does not guarantee approval.
